We are pleased to announce Robert Shaffer, assistant deputy minister at the Department of Health in Manitoba, has assumed the role of chair of the Board for the pCPA. Robert is well-suited to this new position, having previously served as vice-chair.
In addition, Pam Barnes, director of Drug Programs and Services for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, is stepping into the role of vice-chair.
Robert and Pam represent two areas of the country separated by several provinces and bring unique insights to our pan-Canadian organization, while enhancing our collaborative efforts.
We’d like to thank our outgoing chair, Mitch Moneo, for the incredible work accomplished during his tenure. As the first-ever chair of our Board, Mitch seamlessly guided the pCPA through its transition into a stand-alone organization. We are fortunate to continue benefitting from his expertise and support as he stays on as a member of the Board, representing British Columbia.
